Hmm... I was looking at the category dropdown menu for quite some time. I wasn't too sure to put this post under which category (film or music). Was to talk mainly about my experience downloading one of their concert recently via BitComet, but later thought that it would be better to have a wider topic to introduce more about this band. Therefore, I chose music instead of film, where I think more than half of my blog's post goes to.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers are a California-based rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1983. Even though they have experienced numerous line-up changes and personal problems, the band has successfully created a sound that combines elements of funk, punk, rap, psychedelic rock and lately pop rock. Over the past 23 years, they have produced nine studio albums which have sold nearly 50 million copies worldwide. The current band members are (from left to right): Michael Balzary (Flea) as bassist and backing vocalist, Anthony Kiedis as lead vocalist, John Frusciante as guitarist and backing vocalist, Chad Smith as drummer. From: Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Gezz... After finished typing the introduction, now I feel kinda lazy to begin my so-called wonderful experience pulak. I started my random search for Red Hot Chili Peppers live concert last Tuesday midnight when I returned home after my Penang one day trip. (Oh yea, I almost forget about this important announcement. Dear fellow friends, I've bought my 200G external harddisk last week! Which means, I can get back into the hyper mood downloading great stuffs again. Ahem, you certainly understand what I meant by great stuffs right? Bwahahaha.) Then I found this video entitled "LIVE at BBC Secret Concert Red Hot Chili Peppers 28.05.06". It sounded very interesting to me as it was a very recent concert I supposed. So, without hesitating much time, I clicked and started downloading it.
After four days...
Bloody hell tmnut tortures my body and soul, both physically and psychologically, by keeping me waited for so long. But when I was chatting online with my dear yesterday night at around 4:30 AM, suddenly a small notification window poped up and I was like, weeeee, surprisingly, my download has finally been completed without me actually realising it. Had a quick glance through the two VOB files immediately, both video and audio qualities were far above average, very satisfying indeed. And as usual, I have to rename every single file of mine before moving it into my favourite collections folder.
Looking under Google search, I found this review and was about to rename my file "Red Hot Chili Peppers Live At Canvas (14th April 2006)" according to this result. But why is it 14th of April? Not 28th of May? And when I browsed through the photos in their website, the stage setups and most of the costumes were almost the same, but why is Flea topless when in the concert video I watched he was wearing a long sleeve tee? Then later after searching for a few hours again, I only discovered that Red Hot Chili Peppers had actually played in the same venue in two continuous days (without changing clothes). So, in conclusion, mine is the show on the 15th of April. Am I right? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Bla ble bli blo blu... What a post. I don't even know what I'm writing. I'm rushing out now. To have dinner with my family. Celebrating father's day. Happy daddy's day! I love you papa. ^_^

I am feeling superb right now! It was a great and powerful night for me yesterday. Got a total refreshment after attended Live Gig III at Halo Cafe South City Plaza. I am back alive and kicking from the hectic college life which had actually made me suffered so much. Weeeee... That's the way! ^_^
Dropout - They were as cool as ever. This was my first time watching them after their revolution. Now with much more darker and heavier style. Great effort I could see from them to show the best. To me their most noticeable act was I think a huge loyal fan base supporting them all the way. Wave goodbye to Mumster, warm welcome to Dropout!
Soundwall - A pop rock band with nice and easy listening melody. Have watched their show quite a lot of times. Some of their new songs performed were a little too sentimental for me. But I admire their creativity to compose songs with different feel. I salute them for their hard work to organise such gig once in every month to gather underground bands.
Deng Deng - Heavy metal, tri-piece, super energetic and aggressive vocal. What else I should describe about them? National champion of Soundscape Chinese Independent Bands Competition. Many agreed they truely deserved the prize that night at Channel Dance Club. I was there to witness the event and had no doubt about it too. Wait wait? Etc etc?
Wu Feng Ling - Got to know them through Live Gig I at New Com Pub. Wasn't really impressed by their performance that time. But this time I was just like kept staring at their awesome show. Guitarist controlled his effects well. Bassist was cute with his unique Thailand song too. Overall co-ordination among band members made it a good show.
Lang - I feel very sad again when I'm writing this. I was so shocked, I mean, we all were so shocked to receive the bad news from them. It was their last performance yesterday night as a team. The second guitarist and bassist were playing with them for the final time. Our local indipendent band scene lost a very talented young band. Let us together pray they will be back in the future.

Geeeee... Saw this advertisement through the TV screen few days back when I was watching Homegrown featuring OAG. I always give reason for not having transport to attend gig or performance but now it's just happening so close to me. Just then now I am simply too lazy to go and get the ticket from don't-know-where-it-is and moreover I will be sitting for my semester exam very soon. And so the conclusion is again, have fun guys and gals!

Weeeee... Read this article today in All The R.AGE, Star today. I was so excited yesterday to see posters sticking around my housing area in Subang here. Stood there and glanced through every details about it for I think around 10 minutes. Until my friends walking with me for dinner didn't realise my absence until a distance ahead. Sigh. But I'm already back in my hometown enjoying semester break on the 17th next month. There will be a Pre- Street Roar 2006 Festival on 14th December 2005 which Uglymen will be playing in it too. I will seriously think about this event. To you guys and gals out there, don't miss the fun yea!

HONG KONG TOP ACT BEYOND BIDS SINGAPORE FAREWELL
Veteran Hong Kong rock outfit BEYOND will bid Singapore fans farewell at their final concert tour on 15 October!
Having successfully dominated a respectable position in the Chinese/ Cantopop rock music industry for the past 22 years, BEYOND remains unrivalled with their dedication and undying passion for pure, original rock music. BEYOND's accomplishments in the music scene has been of which many aspiring rock musicians look out to and inspired by. Their talented music compositions, often reflecting the reality and aghast of society and motivates life through its ups-and-downs, have won them undying support from hard-core fans within Asian and even beyond the region over the years.
The course of success wasn't smooth sailing. The band has faced numerous trials, including having to self-fund and personally sell their first underground album, and even having to cope with the sudden loss of their leader and lead vocalist/ composer Wong Ka Kui in 1993.
Despite the obstacles, the remaining members of BEYOND continue to strive in their music career and even spans out to become successful individual musicians. After more than two decades in showbiz, BEYOND decides their split and places a wonderful ending note to their remarkable music era with the farewell launch of BEYOND "THE STORY LIVE 2005" concert tour, much to the despair of their huge following die-hard fans.
Having staged their farewell gigs in Hong Kong, United States and various states in China, BEYOND finally brings their long-awaited concert to Singapore! Local fans have their final chance to relive the top quality showcase by this renowned rock outfit and reminisce the journey from BEYOND's golden era with all-time powerful hits like "长城", "情人", "光辉岁月", "阿拉伯跳舞女郎", "海阔天空", "遥远的Paradise" and "Amani". It will definitely be an electrifying and memorable night not to be missed!
I went to the Immigration Department this morning to create an international passport for myself. Have never been to overseas before since young. And now I am going to Singapore this coming October to watch Beyond! I never like to travel around last time especially during secondary school life. Was paying too much attention in my extra curricular activities until I nearly forget about the importance of my dearest family and friends. I am now learning hard to appreciate every things and relationships around me. Cheerio~

Life's A Struggle by Shawn (M80)
Opening my eyes, laying my first steps to this world as I arrived
Blessed with a life from my mom, left with a ruin in a numb
Being terrified in this cast, as everyone is wearing a mask
Recalling the pass, igniting the thoughts "is this the way life should last"
Oh cigar, tarnished my lungs with catostrophous scars
The world being horrified as my lungs scar-ified
Here I carry the destined crucified cross
My thirst for power, paper and respect
This might be human nature
Buddha's saying confusions arrised sourcing interlectual personal life
However, I don't mind
I just hope perhaps I can wind the clock, to the point where the life I find
Felt so apologetic to good old mom, I know I often make you grump
You unleasehed your thoughts of regreting did not get me dumped
The moment after school as I came back, I lay down my heavy back pack
Nobody is to be seen, only smelling the ever wonderful scent
I know extra work was on the menu
Exploring the fridge, eating food somehow like in the ditch
Dear dad came home drunk, I heard sour songs being sung
No way I gonna focus on my exam when dusk finally comes
I never like my teachers as they never like me
I detest school rules as they detest me
I hate the discipline teacher as he disciplines me
That's true, friends around said I'm too cool
Even the cops happy to arrest me too
I dont give a fuck about what is being said
What has been said does not justify me
And no one has the right to judge me
Materialistic bitches ended up a whore
Non-condom users putting a blame on children to the core
Money is a shit where you're born in it
Once you did you gonna die in it
Loosing your grip as life is powered up in deep shit
Life's a struggle but life goes on
Tasting sweetness and sourness, troubles will still come on
How many problems I have to face, every night I cant sleep but in a daze
Life's a struggle but life goes on
Tasting sweetness and sourness, troubles will still come on
How many problems I have to face, every night I cant sleep but in a daze
Judgement day, I felt I couldn't breath and lost my way
Facing a long stay in prison made me remorse what I've done
After-life from prison guess many changes have to hunt
In a convict's eye never have peace as life's always blunt
An inch of carbon in my hand, laying a kaleidoscope from the metal window
You cant find any wonderful word in my diary of sorrows
Melancholious times ahead as only freedom will free my soul
Keeping an armour beside pillow prepared for sudden harm
Some doubt their wives assuming external affair looming large
Some keep letters from families neatly in nums
Some lifeless for 24 hours on bed as they were gummed
Some losing sanity because of mental crump
A long wait of 3 months finally passed by
Another probation of 3 years will accompany my life
Nevertheless breathing new air into my current life
I never know what's the next picture in my life
Fatal crimes are not unusual in the headlines
Remembering the disgusting scene of a woman and a man
It crushed all the positive thoughts about her I had
I hear voices, voices of struggles far deep inside my heart
Life's a struggle but life goes on
Tasting sweetness and sourness, troubles will still come on
How many problems I have to face, every night I cant sleep but in a daze
Life's a struggle but life goes on
Tasting sweetness and sourness, troubles will still come on
How many problems I have to face, every night I cant sleep but in a daze
Where ever I may roam
Whomever I meet, all I sense is the unsincere heart
I thought it's so funny as in everyone's eyes there's only money
Faking as a kind-hearted human who just wants to benefit himself
Hiding behind the sweet face is the cruel brutal smile
Betraying friends, gaining everything
Saying she loves you may be directing at your wealth
Have you ever thought, those of best pals were actually harming you somehow
Cause when you needed them most, all gone but raising your eyebrow
All mighty God
Please don't blame me for what I thought
Cause no one believes me as I believe them not
I am undescribable cause I am just the I who has being brought
Life's a roller coaster, flying high, plunging low, both cold and hot
Can't see how I'm gonna sail through this road of rot
Cause in my heart, there'll never be a peaceful spot
Unable to continue my sleep
Listening to my heart, telling me how mom cried so deep
Dad is drowsing off my hope, turning off the heat
Holding up the phone, listening to every word from his heart beat
Knowing he just lost what he always did
Flashing through my mind is grandma's advice
No reason to cry about and I have to be wise
Once and for all metamorphoses to end all my negative sights
Life's a struggle but life goes on
Tasting sweetness and sourness, troubles will still come on
How many problems I have to face, every night I cant sleep but in a daze
Life's a struggle but life goes on
Tasting sweetness and sourness, troubles will still come on
How many problems I have to face, every night I cant sleep but in a daze
Life's a struggle but life goes on
Tasting sweetness and sourness, troubles will still come on
How many problems I have to face, every night I cant sleep but in a daze
Life's a struggle but life goes on
Tasting sweetness and sourness, troubles will still come on
How many problems I have to face, every night I cant sleep but in a daze

Well. This is my third topic of M&M's Battle Of The Bands. I first posted the announcement, then later I posted my review after the grand event, and now I am going to post up the winners. It's not considered as a competition if there is no result, right?
Overall I am very satisfied with the judges choice. These winners really deserve the prize. A very well done and congratulations to them. Hope to see more of their performances in the future.
P/S: Someone invited me to join Battle Of The Bands 2006. No way, I said. I don't think I am qualified at all. I am really too far left behind them. Gosh.
也渴望power, paper and respect
That’s true
I don’t give a fuck about 人家说什么
**Life’s a struggle
Everyday
**Life’s a struggle
Everyday
**Life’s a struggle
Everyday
**Life’s a struggle
Everyday
It’s kinda funny 在人的眼里只有money
